Lazy Day

Today I’ve been remarkably lazy. I got up around 10am, made some coffee and sat and surfed the web until about 2.30 when I cooked a nice lunch of fresh pasta, with crispy bacon garlic and olive oil – simple but tasty. Then I had a nice hot shower, and now I’m sat here in underwear until I decide to get dressed.

I’m meeting a friend in Soho later, and then we’re going to another friend’s party in Vauxhall to celebrate his arrival in London permanently. I bought a nice t-shirt from Boss yesterday I think I’ll wear, just with some jeans or something. Not sure yet. Mustn’t forget to rinse this toner out of my hair.

One Response to “Lazy Day”

  1. I only wish we had the mass transit you have in London. We took trains and subways in Glasgow for two months last year and spent an extra two weeks in London, Southwark by Borough Station.

Today, I write for two reasons. Your blog was automatically linked to mine (http://cookingwithdee.net) and I like your recipe but you lack an additional ingredient, eggs. That makes Spaghetti alla Carbonara, pasta in the style of the charcoal maker. Check out my cookbook selection, specifically The Italian Country Table by Lynne Rossetto Kasper.

Come to the US, especially Texas, and shop ’til you drop at outlet stores and everything you buy will be 1/4 the cost in London. It’ll pay for your flight, if you follow my illogic!

I first responded because of your cat, which looks like one I used to have, but now it’s the sitting in your underwear comment that got me, as that describes the love of my life, my husband Jim.

You weren’t lazy, you blogged. I did through three hours of root canal surgery and am still recovering.

    Cheers, Dee
