No2ID & Facebook

It’s been very notable over the last few months how succesful campaigns on Facebook have become, with large numbers of users putting their names to causes or petitions they believe in. Examples are the HSBCs change of policy on student bank charges, and Alliance & Leicester’s overdraft fee withdrawls.

The latest one to hit Facebook is the ‘No2ID’ campaign, a very strong and worthwhile campaign attempting to get the UK government to drop the silly idea of compulsary ID cards, and the associated ID database.

By adding the application to your Facebook profile you gain a supporter badge on your profile, sign your self up to the petition, and get publicity and promotional tools, as well as a funky graph that shows you how fast people are signing up. Let’s hope that the government pays attention eh? Click on the icon below to add the No2ID application to your Facebook profile
